CONSTRUCT, the Concrete Structures Group, held its annual CONSTRUCT Day at The Brewery in London on Friday 5th October with over 570 industry guests in attendance.
The day began with a networking exhibition and the chance for members, including Invisible Connections, to showcase their latest products and innovations to a captive audience.
After a drinks reception, and entertainment from psychological magician, Sylar, guests were welcomed by CONSTRUCT Chairman, Steve Regan, who reflected on the year. He then handed over to Jo Fautley, Deputy Chief Executive of Build UK, who spoke to guests about the role Build UK has to play in the fundamental transformation of the industry.
During the day, guests raised almost £9,000 for chosen charity, The Lighthouse Club, which helps to relieve poverty suffered as a result of an accident, disability or ill health by people employed or formerly employed within the building and civil engineering industries and allied trades in the UK including their widows and children.
As well as being an exhibitor at the event, Invisible Connections once again sponsored the Unsung Hero Award, won by Michelle Branch, Anderson Group.
There were five Award winners on the day:
