Invisible Connections at MPA Precast and Masonry Expo 2022
After a 2 year interval, the MPA Precast and Masonry Expo returned on 16th June 2022 and we were delighted to be part of this industry leading event.
Our engineers were on hand to demonstrate and discuss application of our innovative telescopic connectors, and to share thoughts on modern methods of construction. This year, we were delighted to introduce our new generation of telescopic connectors: the TSS and RVK 60P.
New design delivers cost efficiencies and contributes to more sustainable construction
Our new ‘slim design’ 60P connectors can enable thinner landings and stair thicknesses, which means less concrete and less CO2. By replacing the steel outer with a recycled polyethylene sleeve, we’ve halved the steel content. In the short term, this means a significant reduction in raw materials, production and carbon footprint. Long term, Design for Deconstruction (DfD) principles can be met since the steel inner tubes can be cut through and the precast landing removed and repurposed in its entirety when the structure is decommissioned.
What’s more, we’re passing on cost savings for the alternative raw materials and leaner manufacture. All of which adds up to a better deal for the environment as well as for our customers.

For 2022, the MPA Precast and Masonry Expo offered an impressive speaker programme designed to update the construction sector on pressing industry issues. Thought-provoking topics included Low Carbon Cements, Fire, Flooding and the changing Economic and Public Affairs landscape.
Joining 75 exhibitors from the concrete supply chain, Invisible Connections thoroughly enjoyed seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. All in all, the day offered a valuable opportunity to connect with our peers from across the precast construction industry.
